I only have a small garden but it's looking pretty good. Tomato plants are blooming as are the pepper plants. Sadly I couldn't find any of my favorite peppers, Cowhorns, in the nurseries. I ordered some seeds and have them in a wet paper towel. I'll put them in the ground as soon as they start showing some signs of life. Cucumbers are just "breaking ground" so I'm hoping they come on soon. It's still a little early but I'm impatient so I'll put some okra seeds in the ground tomorrow if it doesn't rain all day.
Thankful that we missed the very large hail that did millions of dollars of damage about an hour northwest of here.
Peace and blessings to each of you. Be kind, you never know what the other person may be going through.

Mornin' PapaJ. These years we're travelers, but I do have fond memories of our gardening years. It is quite exciting to see all the plants coming into maturity. And especially satisfying to enjoy the fruits of all the labor. Enjoy the day.

You're a little ahead of me. The last frost date around here is still a week or so away, but I did plant a few tomatoes yesterday to get a head start. Lettuce and cilantro are both up n growing. The herb garden is awake and well. Probably plant a little more today. Restocking my worm farm as I dig stuff in,

The only thing I have planted are the onions and they are not doing much. Too cold.
We are probably a little ahead. Today's not one of them but we've had a few pretty warm days. The lily of the valley bloomed today and the azaleas a couple days ago.

I always gamble and jump the gun. It usually works out well for me. One year I was going to NC surf fishing for two weeks, so I planted tomatoes the second week of April. By the time I got home they were a foot higher and very full. And I still had as many plants as a back up if they were all dead
Starting veggies in pots on deck then if it frosts , like it almost did last night, I can bring them in. Will put in ground in a couple more weeks. Nothing like a tomato from your own garden!
