Good mornin', everyone, from the North Country.

46* now, 60* later, a little windy. The wind really blew yesterday, it wasn't supposed to, damn thing.

Today I'm going to work on a rod and start to weed 'n feed the yard. I have to use a drop spreader to go around the flower beds and the trees with hostas around them, then I can use the John Deere and the spreader to do the rest of the lawn. But, I only have 4 - 35# bags leftover from last year, and that will never do it. I think I will do around the flower beds and the front lawn with weed 'n feed, and spray the rest. It's cheaper to spray and I have enough spray to cover the rest.

Have a good one, guys and gals.

Good morning Fly and all to follow. Some serious wind today (gusts in excess of 50 mph possible). Wind chimes as we speak are already going nuts. There goes the fishing plans for the day. All have a great day.

Good mornin', Griz. Oh, very pretty, do you know what they are zoned for? Is that what they look like now?

Morning Fly and all,
46 now, maybe 52 later. Upper 70s tomorrow and Sunday, then rain and back into the 50s next week. Am considering weeding/feeding now to get ahead of the neighbor’s dandelions and the Creeping Charlie that the deer seem to want to trade me for apples and bird seed πŸ€¦πŸΌβ€β™‚οΈ
Have a great day all

Not sure FG. I know they do well in this region. We went looking for sugar free pies for wife. Found this in the process. We have a couple already planted. Couldn't turn this down for $25. Last one the had of this variety. First for us. Likes bright but not direct sun according to lady at store. We gave others that do well in direct sun. The more i plant the less i mow but the more i trim. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

I have hostas & chips around about a dozen trees in the back yard and along the sidewalk to the deck in the back. Once they are in they do not take a lot of work, and they look nice and it is much easier to mow around the trees. I have different kinds of hostas around different trees. The pin oaks have one kind of hostas, the birch has another kind, the maple has a different kind, etc.

I do most of my trimming with a kill everything spray, I can't remember the name of it offhand, but it kills vegetation for a year, which is good and bad.

Good morning Grizz! We thought we lost our azalea during the winter freeze we had so we cut a portion and painted the branches. Just the other day we saw where branches had buds and the plant was still alive.
