McCall area. Fly fishing in the Payette Lakes area looks promising. Kokanee and Trout plants look along with steps to reduce the Lake Trout should result in some great fishing. The lake is ice free and I am already on it!
Do you catch many kokanee fly fishing?
Yeah, I would like to know if Kokanee can be caught on a fly, as well. The only time I have, it was while trolling a black muddler just for grins, rather than a wedding ring lure, while going for some rainbows. Only Koke we caught that day.
In a way you are right, however trolling with a orange or white fly behind my dodger has been very productive. I do traditional fly fishing along the shoreline towards the late summer or fall for trout.
