Question Does any one know how to adjust a Shimano R 2000 reel

I Purchased a New combo at a garage Sale Friday. The Rod still ad the plastic on it and the reel had the original line still attached to the reel. I removed all the old line and respooled it with 10 pound mono. It reeled the line on real smooth. The problem is it will rotate about half a spool revolution back every time you quit cranking it in. Only bought because it was a shimano. Any advise would be appreciated.

That may be the way it was designed. Am interested to see if others agree.

Quick fire. The reel is made that way so the finger trigger lines up for the cast. See the first part of the video to see it line up the quick fire lever.

A few of the lower end Shimano spinning reels do not have the instant anti-reverse and do rotate a half or quarter turn.

If it doesn't say "Super Stopper" in a stop sign shaped logo on the side of the spool, it likely doesn't have the instant anti-reverse.
