Well granddaughter told me a story of a man asker her to come in his van this past week.
Thank God she did as has been drilled ran and told there mom.
Swear to Christ this would kill me and same swear someone else would meet his demise should this nightmare event ever happen.

She’s 12 now becoming a young woman and it ain’t cool to be papaws girl anymore
Felt the very powerful real need to have her close to me.
We took a road trip to a touristy little village in southern Indians.called Metamora. . Bout an hour and a half drive.
Bought trinkety crap , had an excellent club sandwich , got her a genuine mood ring. What ever the hell that is
And a opal necklace , her birthstone
And of course peanut brittle and some fudge.

All In all a fantastic day. Talked , laughed a lot . Played with buttons on the new truck. Went in some interesting shops. Some not so .
Ate fudge till we both didn’t want anymore. And just talked about shit that important to a young girl.

If nothing else . Reinforced the fact papaw has her Back. And always will. No matter what. Papaw will move heaven and earth to make it better for her. . Whatever that may mean

She’s my oldest and I know it’s probably not right but she’s my favorite. She’s very special to me.and has been since north

I can certainly understand your thoughts. I have 3 Grandkids currently and would do anything to protect them and also have concerns about what I may do if someone hits them.
Glad nothing happened to your GD, but also happy for you that you had a great day with her as those will most likely become more rare as she gets older. Keep reminding her to make good decisions and that you will always love her and have her back!
