Get you a fishing map from World Wide Sportsman ( Salt water Bass Pro Shop) in Islamorada. Lots of good spots down there. Ill be in Marathon for 2 weeks in June.

Yellowtail snapper are alway pretty dependable off of the patch reefs. Look for other boats anchored in a line, hang a bag of chum over the side and go to it! I like to use fleurocarbon leader tied to 10 or 12 pound test with a smaller hook or jig head. Use just enough weight to keep your bait in the chum line.
Try keeping a slightly heavier baited rig on the bottom in a rod holder. Never know when a nice mutton snapper may swim by!!
