Hello I’m LawrenceJ I’ve been coming to Rend Lake area for at 12 years. My initial visit was with my wife and now I am proud to say that nearly 150 people have followed us to Rend Lake area. We normally spend 3 to 5 days at the hotels, restaurants and shopping. When the resort was open we were often stay there. We actually had a family reunion at the Resort when it was open at least 200 people attended the reunion. We still come at different times and now but we’re running out of areas where we can fish. Can you direct us to some shore fishing so we can continue coming enjoy the Rend lake area.

Hey Lawrence, welcome.
Since you don't have your location listed, 99.9% of us are not going to be able to help, because we have no clue where Rend Lake is. State ? Near what city ?
And I'm not quite sure why you're "proud" that 150 people have followed you to a spot you found. I don't mind a few close friends knowing...no way am I telling 150, unless I was getting a "finders fee" for each one...lol !
Also...a little sketchy as to how you are "losing" water that you are able to fish ??!!?? Are people claiming ownership of shoreline ? Building houses ? Lake drying up ?

Go back to your profile and add a location, with ~40,000 forum members, worldwide, somebody might be able to help. Good luck !

Rend Lake is in Southern Illinois about 15 miles south of Mt. Vernon Illinois. The hundred and fifty people comes at different times of the year. Also due the construction of new docks and the closing of the resort is what I mean by running out bank fishing from the shoreline. Thanks for your replying.
