Im purchasing an extra reel with some double taper so that I will he able to throw dries on my euro rod if I see rising fish. Im wondering how I can quickly remove the leaders memory so I can effectively throw light dries. Anyone have tricks?

Run it over ur waders or thru a piece of rubber material or just hand stretch it stream side !
The tippet shouldn’t require this if it’s lighter material strength wise !

Put a casting length of line, without any terminal gear, behind your boat and run
it fast for a few minutes. Does the job.

Used to pull through a section of bike inner tube. Works good if you can find a piece.

A leather "patch" folded over on itself with the line sandwiched inside. Slide the line through the leather this creates heat and the heat will remove the memory.

Pull it through a piece of leather. I’ve seen an item made just for that purpose, but I just cut a piece off of an old leather belt that doesn’t fit me anymore.

Switch to braid and you will not have stretch problems.

Dude...he's FLY FISHING !......and "stretching" isn't his problem.

There is a specific tool, as mentioned above, with a folded over piece of leather, even Walmart sells them. Pull the leader through, while pinching. Cheap solution ( a "tool" from that's been around for probably 100+ years ! & along with nippers, & usually hemostats, ALWAYS included in any "beginner combo package") and easy, peasy.
