Good thread Kandy. I can still see in my mind what i saw at a reservoir the other day.

What is wrong with people is my only question as to why can't they just put the trash in the can.

I guess LAZY sums it up.

The very least one can do is to be conscious of what they’ve brought into the stream, river, crick or lake and take it out with them.Makes me sick when I see trash along our local waters. In some cases landowners have denied access to their land due to this problem and I can’t blame them. Who wants styrofoam bait containers, soda cans, beer cans etc. littering their property. I’ve often discontinued a day of fishing when encountering trash and instead spent my efforts with cleanup. Sorry for the tirade but it really, really strikes a sour cord.

Same here buddy. Hunting and Fishing Buddy.. and Best Friend I have had for decades have filled bags of stuff to haul off and burned what was safe to burn at one of our hunting places and many other places. I think it shows how much respect some have for Mother Earth others property ( Public Lands ) are theirs and everyone else’s. I used to go to an Easter Work Camp. We made repairs and maintenance to a place called Loch Leven. It was and may still be a retreat in Riverside Mountains in California.

One of the main themes from the Boss Guy that was in charge of the whole thing ( only during work camp ) Wanted any and everything we did to look like it had been like what we did and no sign of it being recent or unfinished including clean.

It was a good idea. Make it look like we were never there and it had always been that way. It is a good theory in campgrounds.. fishing holes.. parks .. forests. Why not be good to it?

I used to do a lot of Environmental Mechanical and Electrical Engineering for the State. Earth Day is a big thing. I modified Several Factory Vans into a portable computerized set up. I have modified small buildings with Solar so there is electricity without having any power bills or having to run wire get permits etc. added an automotive car alarm too as a security system. It worked to keep hobos out. Train tracks were 100ft away. There is some things like solar that is just plain cool to have and no gas for generators and no noise from even a quiet generator.

House has 19KW Solar Array. Power Bill is 12 bux a month to stay connected to grid. Some still argue it doesn’t work but I know better WAY BETTER.
