Welcome to the Forum, CB jigs & crawler, and jigs & minnows, or a plain minnow or a plain crawler. A walleye, is a walleye, is a walleye, they are basically the same all over. Good luck!

It really depends on where the fish are and the type of structure that are hanging out at. If your a true walleye guy you know that analyzing what depth they are at and type of structure they are hunting in makes a huge difference in what to present them with. If you are fishing fairly flat rocky bottom and the depth exceeds 15 feet. Start off with a spinner and worm set up. Use a 3 way swivel approach and set you sinker line about 1.5 times the depth the fish are off the bottom. Troll at 1.0 to 1.6 MPH. try both straight line boat troll and change to z style boat movement. June bug spinners with a whole crawler are my favored baits for this basic technique. If your on a jagged rock structure Luke a small reef and the depth on the reef itself is under 15 feet. Try to do a drift over the reef or structure. Setup a jig and tip it with an emerald shiner or small shad. Keep your jigging small movements (1ft) and slow. Be watching your line on the fall most bites will be at that point. Hope this helps a bit. Have a great day out there and be safe.

Thanks! I guess my posting was too general; my bsd. I'm a pretty experienced 'eye fisherman. I was more interested in the general 'eye population; numbers, size, structure or weed related, etc. Also, best times to schedule a fishing trip.
