Decided to replace my Whopper Plopper I lost to a over cast into the bush's last year & couldn't see paying $16.99 at the local bait shop. Not a tight wad but feel what I found was a bit over priced. Found a 6 pack of whoppers look a likes on Amazon for $14.95. Has anybody tried these or should I bite the bullet & go for the real thing Video Bob

Try Berkley chopo I have several in different sz. I think they take less effort to work than wopper plopper. I have one of those also. Bass Pro has double down plopper. I recently got one. Haven't tried it yet. They start at $8.99

The copies you can get on Amazon will probably work, but you may want to replace the hooks.

Give em a go, a lot of the more popular lures nowadays are made off shore , might ncome from the same manufacture !

These are very light and will want to body spin on the retrieve. I have caught fish on them using a popper style retrieve. These have to be retrieved slowly. The choppo is the best buy.

Hi Grandpa. I agree completely. I first bought a wopper plopper. Works but the choppo woks better IMO. They still have good action at a slow speed. 👍👍
