Abu Garcia or Lews?

Can’t decide on which reel to try first. Either a revo x or a speedspool. Thoughts on each brand in general? Personal experiences and preferences? Wanted to make sure I make a good first choice!

I work at Scheel's and Abu Garcia tends to be more popular in terms of bait casters. If your headed in the spinning direction then definitely Lew's.

I got a Mach II spinning combo last year and absolutely love it! Strong enough to land 35” pike, but sensitive enough to feel panfish biting. I’m definitely going to get a Lews baitcasting combo this season.

I fish inshore saltwater every weekend and have used Lews for the past six months without a problem.
But I take very good care of them and they take care of me .

Abu is my vote, but Lews has been around a long time with great reputation. I don't think you can go wrong with either. both are good choices.

I use both. Love them both. Glad I use both. Might not if I tournament fished.

I would like to know "what the hell does feel and sensitivity have to do with choosing a reel? " feel and sensitivity come mostly with the line you use, and a little comes from your pole. Has absolutely nothing to do with what reel you choose. When choosing a reel you consider what type of fishing your doing, what type of line you will be using and max. drag you will need. And to answer your question, I really (not reely) like the Abu Garcia products, they have been making reels since forever!

I have 5 Revo X's. You can't go wrong with them.

Revo x. Here in N Florida I use it to hall in big bass. Great for flipping, punching thick mats! And have an other for salt water(inner coastal) for reds and sea trout!! Can’t go wrong with a revo had them 2yrs no problems

Both are good reels and I own a few of each but I prefer Abu Garcia Ravi it has 18 lbs of drag and Lew s has 10 lbs, you can save you some money by getting the Abu Garcia Pro Max. I can't tell any difference in the 2 except the price
