Try the MO Fishing application from the Missouri Department of Conservation. This comes up in your area.

Neighbor went to Carlyle Lake in Illinois today. Did well. Bunch of nice crappie. Not far from Festus, about an hour and a half.

Caught 300 and kept 90. Tube worms. Not sure how many were there, but he stays legal.
