Well finally did it
Picked up a new used truck this morning
2018 Ford F-150 XLT
Turbo charged 6 cyl.
Bells and whistles I haven’t figured out how to use yet
Didn’t realize I had a sunroof till I got home.
Back up camera is nice. Pulled right up to the boat

Wife said it don’t match boat. Guess I’m gonna have to get a new boat.

Sweet. I have the same in white. Still haven’t mastered the backup knob. Remember to engage the “tow” button while dragging your boat.

It is a beautiful truck Ben. Took me a while to figure out the bells and whistles. You’re lucky your wife gave you an excuse to get another boat.👍

The “Tow” button prevents the transmission from going into overdrive and makes for poor mileage, if you have a light boat it probably isn’t needed on heavier boats you should definitely use it in hilly terrain. You can tell if you need to use it by watching your temp gauge (many come with a transmission temp gauge as well) if the temp goes noticeably higher push the Tow button and remember to use it when driving under similar conditions until you know when it’s needed. When in doubt push it.
PS I’m a retired ASE Certified Master Tech and I drive Fords while my Mrs. needs a Dodge.

Thanks for the education. I always (wrongly) assumed mileage would improve using the tow button. Ben, do what Mike advises; that’s what I’m gonna do from now on.

Might be cheaper to have boat custom-painted to match truck
than to replace it - unless you're looking for a good excuse to
upgrade the boat !

Nice ride Ben, I’m always one to get used over new. Check them thoroughly and pay much less than new although a boat that matches would be a nice option especially since your wife made mention of it.

Only a woman would mention they don't match. What man cares?

Not much worse that a photo someone posted on here awhile
back that showed how some meat-headed moron tied a snowmobile
to the roof of his Toyota ! I'm thinkin' that both methods of transporting
their toys must be highly illegal !

Same here ! I've owned and driven about two dozen cars/trucks in the past 45 years, only four of which
have been Fords/Ford products
(Mercury/Lincoln), one VW Beetle,
one Toyota, one Jeep Grand
Cherokee 4x4, and all the rest were
Chevies, Buicks, Oldsmobiles, and
one GMC 3/4-ton, 4x4 pick-up !

That certainly is a nice truck, Ben
(for a Ford) ! I know how it feels
(again !) to drive a newer, nicer
vehicle, as my '05 Trailblazer is
the nicest, newest vehicle I've
owned to date - quite a step up
from the several crap cars I've
been stuck driving since my Jeep
went belly-up with repairs I couldn't afford !
