Well guys. We got out to the fishin grounds bout 0915 and didn't have but 2 or 3 on the boat by 1000.
We were havin trouble findin any GOOD keepers. The ones we were catchin were right at 18 inches. I don't like to keep any that the game warden might say were 17 3/4. I would just as soon throw all those back.
We finally kept one that was nearly 19 and then shortly before we left we cught a 26 incher, Went bout 5 1/2 pounds. Really nice fish. Only 2 we kept. I also caught a small flounder, bout 17 inches.
All in all we had a 50+ fish day and I think Ben had a good time.
Ended up stayin longer than I wanted to but when you are still catchin fish it's hard to stop.

Well Brad and I had a 100+ day Saturday and fished 4 hours. Ben and I had a 50+ fish day today and were out there 5+ hours.
We were still very pleased with all the fish we caught.
I did have one BIG striper come up next to the boat and swipe at my lure but missed it. It never came back and hit anything. It was bigger than the one in our pic today. That was a bummer.
Was also really neat to catch a flounder while casting for stripers.

Flounder don't usually come off the bottom to eat. What did you catch it on?πŸŽ£πŸ‘

I was using that 1/2 OZ Spro lure I fish for stripers with.
We're throwin our lures up in bout 1 foot to 1 1/2 feet of water and winding it back to us. We're sittin in bout 3 to 5 feet of water usually.
