Winter Haven Florida Chain of lakes April and May

New to the area. What is working?
Lots of lakes in the chain have massive vegetation kill happening and dirty water as a result.
The remaining that have not been killed have deep weeds and schooling Bass that are very hard to catch.
Swim Baits worked one day not to be seen since.
Anyone know these lakes and how too?

Successful fishermen in Lake Hernando have been using chatterbaits--darker colors. Dark blue/black speed worms work greaat either texas style or on a weighted hook--my prefeerence. Vary the speed but I have found the bass are coming off the spawn and are very hungry and aggressive so I prefer to fish fast until the water warms up--then slow the retrieve down. Good luck. I know for a fact thata 9#4oz bass was caught last week in Hernando

Fishing off the shore Lake Haines, and Lake Rochelle, live bait worms (red wigglers) and shiners seem to be most productive all pan fish so far. Anyone try flys? I'm going to set up my ultra light fly rig for pan fish they seem to be all over the surface.
