Guys and gal,(Kandy think you're only active member) I need help. Due to health issues that won't get better, I can't tye knots. My right hand is useless for any fine motor tasks. My grandson helped me today but I want to be able to do it myself. Any recommendations for a good tool mostly for uniknots. Looked online and looked at the tyepro. My wise and experienced friends, any suggestions?

The Hook Eze may help you out to make the twists. I will try to send a picture of it.

I have played around with mine, but I haven’t fished much in cold weather...which is what I bought it for.

Will it work with a size 22 fly?

Sorry, can't help with this. Good luck tho. I'll be "in your boat" in a few more years tho so let us know what you find, please.

Thanks guys and gal for the help. Just ordered a 2 pack of the hook Eze. Will let you know how it works out. Kandy this is one time I wouldn't want you to be in my boat.

I am in the same situation, only left hand. missing index finger, stiff middle finger and replaced thumb. I have tried all of the mentioned gear. I finally just went to a uniknot for everything but a loop. Don't try to save line. Leave enough tag end (bitter end) so that you can use your mouth to pull the line tight. It is slower to do than the good old days, but then again, so is everything else.

Take a look at The Knot Needle. Their site and their app both have a bunch of instruction videos for many knots.
