Yes we are. Got pretty hairy around 3:00 am. Small hail, buckets of rain, tornado watch and about forty to fifty mph winds. Don’t you just love it when they come through in the middle of the night?

That's when being deaf is a Godsend. Once I'm out,I'm usually out for the night. At least sounds aren't going to wake me. There have been times I've fell asleep with my hearing aid on.

Hurricanes were the same way in my 15 years in NC. The worse of the storms were always at night. Never slept because i figured every noise was the end of the world as i knew it. Obviously i was wrong.
