I have an old tackle box I love and I want to remove some of the plastic dividers from the inside to make a few large compartments instead of the several small ones it currently has. What would be the easiest way to cut the dividers out flush with the bottom of the tackle box?

I've done this many times, actually. I usually use an oscillating saw to cut down the sides of the divider, and then score the bottom on both sides with a sharp razor knife. Wiggle it back and forth and score a few more times if needed, and it tends to come off very flush.

Dremel is the best to make the dividers bigger. You can also buy newer boxes with multiple dividers that you can customize.

I just did this to fit a round sinker container in my 3500, last night in fact! I used a Dremel with a plastic cutting disk and a steady hand. Afterwards I cleaned up the burrs with a scotch brite pad and sandpaper. Good luck!

Old pill bottles and empty glucose test strip containers for small hooks, split shot sinkers and swivels. I use a labeler to label the contents.
Use an old plastic milk jug for make dividers for tackle box (you may have to glue a couple of layers together to get proper thickness).
