Many years ago me and a buddy used Velveeta cheese balled up to catch trout . Then Power Bait arrived and we used that , does anyone still use Velveeta? What about marshmallows?

I have had good luck with powerbait and a half night crawler, with the crawler blown up so they stay
off the bottom.

Grew up using Velveeta. Works great. The only down side is that it dosent float.
Mini marshmallows are great trout bait!

Use the garlic velveeta if you can find it. My niece used to eat more than she put on a hook but she slays the fish.

Yes, Velveeta still works for trout. One of the good jars of Powerbait is its cheese flavor.

If I remember correctly, the first floating cheese vault was Zeke's floating cheese. Then of course later came Berkleys Power Bait. But, it all started with Velveeta.
Used Velveeta clear back in the 60's as a kid fishing with my Gramps!
