Welcome to the Stage GoldenRhinO.
For bank fishing Detroit, it's hard to beat Powerbait or marshmallow and worms. In the upper lake where the Santiam flows into the lake (or anywhere you have some current), we've always done well with clear torpedo floats followed by a mosquito (or Wooley Bugger) fly (about 4 feet of leader seems to work well). You'll also find Rooster Tails entice the trout. If you're in a boat, try trolling flashers ahead of spoons or spinners tipped with a worm. Some nice trout can be found in Detroit.
Good Luck and tight lines...
Had a report last week from a forum member that stated that Kokanee were hot at 20' deep, 100' behind boat with hoochies at Detroit Lake. Good luck !
