Shutupandfish Loc: Transplanted roots back to Wyoming

GHS102 2M LAMIGLAS Just got this rod for $10 at second hand store, model and brand all I can make out. Reached out to lamiglas for info but thought I’d ask from the vast knowledge of the stage for a line/lure rating, seems pretty light, nice pole maybe for steelhead. Also picked up a GX Graphite GX902H 9’ “Northern Series” can read all info 20-50lb line rating, 3/4oz to 2oz lure rating. For same price, can’t find value on either rod. Thanks

Well brother, for 20 bucks I would have picked them both up myself. Congrats on a great score.

Just found the spinning version of the GX902H, a GX902HS by W.W. Grigg for $106.95

Lamiglas makes a good rod too. Probably better than the GX.

Yeah the cheapest lamiglas I wasn’t passing up at $10. We bought a bunch of Lamiglas Bluewater Saltwater Casting Rods matched with Avet reels for our 90 mile offshore tuna adventure in a 26ft wellcraft. Not half as thick as the saltwater rods I grew up with and super light and we could really reef on them. The rod I picked up is custom wrapped probably 9’ very lightweight and skinny baitcast guessing 10-12lb max line looks like it could cost a bit to outfit it with a “finesse” casting reel to cast down to 1/8oz or even 1/16 well. Sockeye coho steelhead here probably good on walleye when I move to Wyoming, spring chinook kicking up soon I’ll use something a little beefier
