Hey guys. My sister has decided to put my Mom in a nursing home/assisted living place.
She doesn't want to go of course and we need prayer that she will handle the move alright.
She will be 93 next month and she and I Skype at least twice a day, except the days I go fishin, then we Skype at bed time to say good night to each other.
She's nearly blind and can't use a cell phone anymore and the new place doesn't have land lines there.
Just need prayer that she can have strength, comfort and peace with this move and that they can get her computer set up soon so she and I can continue to Skype one another.
My FS family is scattered all over the country/world that I know that I'll never meet most of you but I feel we're still family just the same.

Steve, Prayers for your mom and for the family for insight into helping her adjust and most of all accept and enjoy her new experience. Hope the staff gets her computer up and running soon and just maybe find her a friend or two to visit with. Randy

You can count on our prayers Steve, I know this decision is not made lightly or easily but sometimes necessary. We pray she is able to adapt without too many issues.

I am so sorry to hear this news. I hope there is some way to modify a cell phone so your Mom can communicate with you.

You're going through a tough time, it's not easy to deal with the issues that come up when it's time for a parent to go into a nursing home. I'm definitely praying for you, your Sis and your Mom.
