No, but they ought to work. Especially in the lakes where the bass feed on planted trout.

I was on the lake yesterday throwing a Savage Gear 10โ€ line through trout. I had a few followers ( one was a giant ), a few short strikes, and one came off! Actually, not a bad day in the big bait game.... itโ€™s only a matter of time before a true giant commits๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ„๐Ÿผโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐ŸŽฃ

If you're fishing waters where crappie is part of the forage, then here's a good one Googan makes.

I bought that strike king at ollies discount for $6.99. Price on pack read $22.99. I'm like yea right. Came home looked it up. There was $20 plus n had good rating. I went back got 5 more. Best part they float n only dive around 2/3 ft. Nice action ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

Thanks buddy! Iโ€™m in So Cal... big ole trout eaters! That said, I do head out to Tennessee a couple times a year to visit friends and fish a tournament or two. That bait would work there for sure! Next time Iโ€™m out there Iโ€™ll dedicate a day or two for big swimbait fishing on Lake Chickamuaga. Cheers ๐Ÿป

Hi Bass;

Iโ€™ve had followers on a 10 inch Hud but none have committed yet.
But my buddy & I are throwing the same big baits that you are.

Have you thrown the Bucca BullShad & Gill? I caught my 6.2lb PB on that last summer and weโ€™ve caught some big ones on Lemire SeaFlys - that are big saltwater jitterbugs (but hard to find).

With the cold fronts still being the norm rather than the exception the Shad are not active until later in the day here. The last hour (2-3) Iโ€™ve been throwing a big soft body swim bait and catching some nice ones in the creeks.

I havenโ€™t caught anything yet on the one that I just got during the winter but my buddy swears by the MS Slammers also ๐Ÿ‘ But it took 14 weeks to get mine โ˜น๏ธ
