I was changing out my aquarium filter when I thought of this idea for the old but still functional filter.I fish till late. Then I really am too tired to clean fish. This will keep them alive till morning.
Plastic storage bin with locking handes. I cut out space for filter, reusing cut piece that had lip to cover where I cut.plug in filter, add fish, close lid and go to bed.

Just use the water they came in not tap water with all of the chemicals.

I just put mine on ice. Will keep for a long time. I have waited up to 24 hours to clean. Makes them easier to clean also.

I just took an old ice chest and bought a cheep aerator and when I want to keep a fish alive I fill it with water from the lake and plug into my battery works great and the ice chest keeps the water cool, of course I don't need to keep them alive all night I either release them or put them on ice when I get back to the boat ramp

I use 150 quart igloo marine cooler with a 350 gallon bilge pump and I keep fish all day long and throw them on ice when I'm ready to go home

I fill it then let it sit for 48+ hours.this gets rid of most chem like chlorine.plus, the filter has a charcoal filter that gets rid of waste, other chemicals.I age water for my pet aquarium fish when I change the water
