I went kayak fishing today on the Napa River and it was a beautiful day for it.
I took some friends that have just started kayak fishing and they had a blast.
2 of the anglers skunked, while one of the other's did well. He did his homework and learned what to use.
It paid off with a nice 29" striper.
We started at low tide and finished at high tide. The launch was a little muddy, but luckily, a couple of the new anglers were in the medical profession so they supplied knee high surgeon booties. They worked well!!!!
All in all, over 20 fish were caught. A little slow compared to last weekend, possibly due to the full moon we are now having :-)
My first and biggest keeper of the day - 22"
A surprise catch! 22" Halibut on a lipless crankbait :-)
A nice one caught by the Dr. :-)
All keepers between 19" to 22"
A beautiful sight to start the day :-)
The knee high surgeon booties we wore to keep the mud off our shoes and boots :-)
