Nice fish. Looks like they come out of the water wrapped in foil and ready for the grill!

Thanks, Bdub. A buddy and I have been planning a short trip for Kokes and those look like dandies to go search for.
We're you trolling ? Deep, or less than 30' ? Or was anchoring & jigging where you find them working ? Thanks in advance !

Yesterday, we trolled. The recipe seemed to be, 100 ft back, 20 ft. Deep at 1.0 mph.
Dodger, hoochie with spinner or spin & glow.
Oranges and pinks. They are scattered all over the lake. Saw a few small schools. That will change as the water temps rise.

Those are landlocked sockeye salmon - better known as Kokanee. They don't get very big, but they are delicious, therefore highly sought after.

Very nice.

Thanks Fred. Btw, I fixed that bilge pump issue today. Was just a stuck float switch. Cleaned it up and works like a champ.

I didn’t realize Detroit had Kokanee. I haven’t fished it since I was a kid with dad.
