Morning guys, we road through the storms last night just fine sorry to say some south of us didn't. They're still trying to count the number of Tornadoes that ripped thru Alabama and southern Tennessee yesterday. Just heard the death count is up to 7 a terrible thing. One storm was on the ground for over 100 miles eating everything in it's path.

Strange, before I went to bed last night I stepped out on the porch and the wind was howling probably 30 mph through the trees dark as pitch. Just walked back out the wind is calm and the moon, almost full has the whole area lite up like a street light in the sky. Mother nature is a fickle thing.
Hope all has a great day, some folks in AL. didn't get to see this one.

Good morning Ivey and assorted knuckleheads. You too TC. Good to hear you got through the storms okay Ivey. Tough spring for some folks in AL. More rain here this weekend. Sunny and 70 today. I planned to fish Sunday. Not likely with the forecast.

A wife went on vacation and left her husband in charge of the cat and her mother. The wife called the next day to check on things. "The cat is dead, the husband said. The wife, devastated, said, couldn't you have eased into the story by saying the cat was hurt falling off the roof and then died the next day or something like that. How's mom?, the wife asked. She's playing on the roof," the husband said.

Have a good one clones. Off to work soon. Remember, you've earned who you are and what you have. No one gave it to you. Nothing wrong with that. You can still be grateful.

Mornin' Ivey, I was busy last night and I didn't get to watch the news and I hadn't heard a thing about it. Thank you for the update, although I could have gotten along fine without hearing about it.

I glad you made it through o.k. Ivey, how about the rest of you folks in TN.?

Morning Boys, glad to see your post this morning Ivey. Saw that crap last night on the news and often wonder how the death count is not higher then what it turns out to be. I guess it hit early enough for those in the path to prepare. Yep Mother N is a fickle woman.

I really didn't know what i was getting into when i moved to NC in regards to hurricanes, sure hope FD is prepared for Alabama's history of tornadoes.

Good mornin' and happy Friday! Gotta put bricks in the undergutchies to keep 'em on the clothes line today, high wind warnings. Our power has already been out once and I'm not resetting the clocks yet.....

Y'all have a good one!

Morning all. 67* and windy. Going up to 77 today. Haven't seen that since last fall. Prayers for those hit hard. Have to call my cousin and see how he made out. Tornado took his church to the ground few years back.

FD will do just fine here, I've lived here all my life and only seen 3 and know plenty who's never seen one. I did think of him last night when the announced Guntersville under a warning bit don't think It ever got to the ground. I must say, as much as I gripe about our weather service here, they do keep us informed and give plenty of warnings when strong weather comes our way. I just heard 1 of the tornadoes last night left a path 200 miles long with not one killed in it's path. I'd suggest a very strong safe room or basement access for anyone moving to this area but chances are they'll never need it. Ive seen so many storm shelters outside someones home that are never used even in storms so if it's accessible from inside the home they seem to be used much more often.

I pray that FD will do fine and your continuance of avoiding the winds as well. I can not fathom how folks can lose everything from any disaster whether it be natural or accidental and start all over. Friends and relatives can only help so much.
