Question Bass Tender Boats

Anyone know anything about bass tender boats. My daughter found one on marketplace and is supposedly only has 45 hours on the boat. Looks like new has a 9.8 mercury 2 cycle outboard and a trolling motor live well, bilge pump and fish finder. With the canopy looks a little girly for my taste but hey if I can use for free I would suck it up.

I know nothing about those boats, but a 9.8hp seems like a lot of motor. That thing ought to move pretty good.

Not at all sure what makes a boat "girlish", unless of course, it's pink !.... but hey, worms and some of the best lures are pink, as well, soooo....?

To address your question, yes I have a friend with one he loves and raves about. I had an 8' Sportyak a few years ago. It was bright orange ! Now that's a bit of a "girly" color, but the fish didn't seem to be offended and it made me a bit more visible to larger, faster boats. I usually used my trolling motor exclusively, but did put a 3hp Honda 4-stroke on it a few times.... really scooted.
The ability to get into certain waters, plus the ability to transport/launch alone, made it a fine choice at the time. The roto-mold construction of those kind of boats make them long-lasting and low maintenance.
If the price is right for you, I would pull the trigger. I got exactly what I had paid for my used Sportyak, 11 years after I bought it from the second owner, so little risk, $$-wise (depreciation) if later, you or her found it unsatisfactory to your needs.... sure as hell beats beats being restricted to the shore.
Good luck with whatever way you go !

Thanks for the input. It has a retractable canopy that looks a little strange. Not sure if she is going to purchase or not. But wanted to pick others brains. We have several paddle Kayaks and are thinking about going up a step
