I can carry a gallon of gasoline that will work in my cook stove, my lamp, my outboard, my car and makes a good fire starter in wet weather or I can carry a pickup bed full of used up little propane tanks around until I get to the land fill. Others may just toss them and will soon be floating down a River near you.

Those 1# tanks can be refilled from a 20# tank with an adapter.
