Just got a kayak and looking for places to take to catch snook, redfish, trout etc. Live in West Bradenton. Any tips would be much appreciated.

This time of year I'd fish the boat docks in the lower river or the flats off Emerson Point

If you see any juvenile tarpon, try your luck with them. You'll get a two and a fun experience when they jump. Just Sayin...RJS

Just remember we can't keep snook redfish or trout till May 31st. Snook not till fall.

At least there's light at the end of the tunnel. We can keep black drum, sheepshead, snapper and a few other breeds till then.

There is a nice place to launch over by turtle beach in Sarasota. I launch my kayak there when I get to. They have a nice set up to clean your kayak when you are done as well.
