I invited a fellow kayak angler with me today who wanted to learn how to catch stripers. Well, he was shaking like heck when he caught his first 2 fish! Both over 30"! I was catching quantity while he was catching quality :-)
We started at 7am which was the peak of high tide today. We probably would have caught more bigger ones if we would have started earlier. We saw them busting the surface and those are the ones David caught. I caught about 30 fish between 7am and 10am and kept a 27" and a 21" for my limit. David managed to catch and release about 3 more.

He was thanking me the whole time each time he caught a fish. I was throwing lipless crankbaits and he was throwing big swimbaits. He was wondering why I was getting more fish. I told him, luck! ;-) I also told him I wish I could catch some nice ones like he did!!! All in all, a great day on the Napa River :-) Until next time!!! Now to take my honey out for our Anniversary Dinner :-) Tight Lines!!!

ALRIGHT ED! Glad you were able to get into them like that.
Where did you find them the most?
We caught most of them around that slough we like to fish.
Great job brother. Congrats.

Thanks Steve :-) The first big ones were caught across the river from the slough we launch from. Then we headed to the opening of the slough we usually fish and that's where I caught the majority of them. The tide was going down so we sat outside of that opening and cast our lures into it and slayed them. :-)
