Is there a huge difference between 10ft and 12ft for yak fishing? Going to be using my new yak for fishing and good ol fun in the sun. Was just wondering before I buy . I know 10ft would be easier to load and haul but if there is a big advantage in the 12ft I’ll go with that. Any input and advice would be great thanks!

Depends on your water that you will be fishing. Ponds and lakes a 10' will do okay. For rivers, streams, and bays i suggest a 12' because they are easier to maneuver. Plus do you stand. 12' should be wider then a 10'. Width matters as much as length.
12 footers track better and move faster.
I agree, depends on where you plan to use it. Small water, 10' is OK. 12' does track better and move faster, as well as well more stable. We take ours camping, so we split the difference and got 11 foot fishing kayaks. Happy so far.
If your an average size say 5’ 7” and weigh 145/ 175 you could do well in a 10 ft BUT IF YOUR BIG 6’ and over weighing in 200 up to 290 or so a 12 foot would be the one to go with
Go big the advantages far outweigh any disadvantage
The best all-round fit is the 12 foot
