Good trout and Red Fish in the area. I live 45 min east of you in Leesburg on Lake Griffin. Good Bass and Crappie fishing. Have a 22 ft Hurricane Deck boat/ 150 up Yamaha. Would be interested in meeting. Take turns fishing both areas.

Put kayak in at Pete’s pier and fish local canals and river for bass. Put in at Marine Science area and fish keys and creeks for trout and reds. Go all the way to the end of the Ozella road and put in at park to fish for reds and trout. Good luck.

Few beach and bank areas open for public due to shorelines being inaccessible except from the water side.....kayak fishing opens up the areas available but best success is with a guide to really connect with fish.
