If you want to go beyond what you’ll ever need get Van Staal. They’re made of titanium and are absolutely bullet proof. They’re also in the $300 range. Quite pricey for what you’ll probably lose.

I carry a Leatherman wave. Two blades, one serrated, pliers and a bunch of other handy tools. Don't know how I ever fished without it.

I just keep a simple pair of long nosed needle nose pliers on my boat and a smaller pair in my tackle box for bank fishing

Sportsman's warehouse is having a sale, and have MANY, from $3.95-$39.95+. The P-LINE ones are quite a good choice, both in price and quality.

There are lots and lots of pliers to choose from but what works best for me is a pair of slip joint pliers commonly called channellocks course they're stainless steel. And of course a pair of S.S. needle nose. The channellocks work great slipped into a cat fishes mouth to prevent it from stabbing you.

I suggest Bubba brand needle nose. They have line cutters and split ring separator. On sale at Cabela’s and Bass Pro right now for $25.

I use the multi tool setups. I have several kobalt/winchester/gerber that are different sizes.

small kobalt for panfish
winchester or gerber for the bigger fish.

11” long needle nose. 10-12 dollars at places like Tractor Supply or Harbor Freight.
They rust, I clean them. The length lets me stay away from Bluefish teeth here in NJ in saltwater.

I really like these my wife got me for Christmas. She said they are $20 on Amazon. The built in cutter cuts braid really well and the blades can be sharpened and replaced. Come with holster and landyard.
