Would you rather get no bites, or catch no fish, but get a few bites?

I would be happy sitting there enjoying the spot.
Catching is simply a bonus when fishing.
No bites is worse, as if you get a few bites...at least you were doing something right.
If it was easy...it would be called catching š
someone once said, "If your bringing a radio to the beach, you're there for the wrong reason." Same wisdom might apply to fishing. If the only reason you're fishing is to catch fish, you're there for the wrong reason."
I couldn't see the forest, all the trees were in the way.
Bites tell me Iām doing something right. The other day I had four hits on my rooster tail but only landed one small rainbow. With that said I call that a good day. Not a great day but a good day
It depends do you go fishing or do you go catching?
getting bites and not catching fish means the fishing is good. That puts the onus on the fisherman. The challenge is to turn those bites into fish. That is what makes fishing fun and separates the good fisherman from the less experienced. If most experienced fishermen catch a fish every cast, after a bit of time, they will switch gear to see if they can catch them another way.
Thats why they call it fishing and not catching. Same goes for hunting.
I have fished all night with plastic worm and no bites had to fight sleep so a few bites might keep you alert

Be glad to be able to be out fishing. Catching is a huge bonus.
