Steelies and I’m sitting home

Buddies went to Idaho yesterday chasing Steelies. I am sitting home waiting for eye surgery tomorrow. They got right into them 15 min after they arrived. Both wild so CPR. They told me they would bring me a couple if they get some keepers. The smoker is waiting!!

I feel your pain Huntm22. I went up to the Umpqua near Roseburg OR last month and caught a fine specimen that was a keeper! Now I want to go back....

My beard used to be to my belly button and my hair to my waist in back. Jason saw a picture of it and started growing his. He has a great start other than he is a lot younger than me and works for the government. They have him limited a bit on what he can do. He was pretty distraught when I couldn’t go but I told him I had to get the knee fixed and the eye surgery so I could at least net fish for him🙃🙃. I don’t know if he can even clean one😂😂. Always had it done before he even got his knife out😂😂

Well buddies had another good morning after Steelies. And my eye says ‘Dang it’. Glad for them - they said they would freeze them whole and bring to me to ‘clean’ so I don’t feel totally left out. Such great friends!!

I’ve gotten a few negative comments on my beard. But I tell them “ If you don’t like it, don’t look at it”... little kids are in awe when they see it. I was even in Costco with my wife one day, and had a woman ask me if it would be ok if she touched it. I looked at my wife to see her reaction and she just shrugged her shoulders. The woman said that she had never touched one before and had always wondered what they felt like..🤷♂️😜🤣😂🐟.

When I was younger and the beard was last longer, wife and I went to an OakRidge boys concert when Barbara Mandrell was touring with them. She was little known but a rising star! The came back out to sign autographs and the wife went after the Oaks and I went to Barbara!! When she saw my beard she asked if I would give her a kiss - well he!! Ya!!!!!! And I did my manly duty to give her the best kiss of her life - no little lip touching - pure unadulterated grab her tongue and hold on for the ride! When I finished - she turned over to the Oaks & William Lee Golden (who had the long beard also) laughing away and said to him ‘If I would have know how good all that brush was for kissing - William might have gotten lucky a long time ago’!! True story no fish tale😂😂.
However the wife got to kiss ‘all’ the Oak Ridge Boys. I still thought it was a fair deal.
