yes. guides are getting very big ones, advertising their services with photos on the lake st. clair fishing facebook group, which anyone can join. ice is almost done on the river, gone from the american side of the lake except maybe in canals and launches. if yu want to bring a boat, ask on that group what launches are open. for bank fishing, they always do better on the canadian side. but people swear by behind the post office in downtown detroit, casting heavyjigs from the bank. gthere are many launches from the north end of st clair south to the ohio border on lake erie. i like the one in wyandott and the two in trenton, one at elizabeth park and the other, i forget the name, at the junction of the river and erie.

April is the month up by Detroit Edison. I could tell you the best spot in the universe for Walleye but I promised the 5 guys I know who know about it I wouldn't. I'm down here in S.C. now and I have a picture of that place and every once in a while I get it out and look at it.

Detroit River always has walleyes!
Boat launches have been full, but I have heard it is still a bit slow. They are slaying them in Lake Erie a couple miles south from the mouth. It won’t be long before the big push comes. If I were going I would fish the mouth, jig and meat. River still in the upper 30’s.

Just got a report that a couple guys limited out on big females right in front of the Wyandotte boat launch.

Other one is Lake Erie Metro park I used to live across the street from that place. Lots of parking 8 ramps I could leave home and get to my spot on the river in 15 minutes.
