Hey Pirate. That's the same reel I/we use for trollin for stripers. Except mine is a left hand crank.
They are really nice and solid reels. I think you'll be very pleased with them. I am.
We have ours spooled with 30# braid and tie directly to lures.

No crappie in the marina. We did graph some schools of fish here and there mostly in the 30 to 35 foot range. Didn't get any bites from them though so IDK what they were.
What kinda rod you paring the new reels with? I've got mine on an 9 foot Lamiglas Classic Glass rod.
It's a really nice setup. Have caught LOTS of stripers on it.

I also use them on my trolling rods. 20# power pro hi-vis yellow for the trout and Kok’s with 4# fluorocarbon leader.
Also use the same for walleye and wipers.

My fishin partner, Brad, bought both of them for me to use when fishin with him. Nobody else uses a left hand reel , just me. So a few months ago when I started goin out to the Petaluma River in my boat he just told me to take the rod since no one else fishes with that rod. Otherwise, I wouldn't be able to afford that outfit myself.
Now whenever I'm gonna go fishin with him, I just bring the rod with me.
I think both the rod and the reel sell for about 100 to 110 dollars each. That's expensive for me.

I only buy left side crank reels. I am right handed so I want to reel with left hand. Horse with right. Spinning Reels all are usually set up that way on charter boats too.

I have Okuma Line counter Reel on an Okuma Rod. Bought it after I broke my Salmon Rod on a huge Salmon at the mouth of Nehalem River on the ocean. Works well rinse salt air and salt water off it every trip. Try to keep sand out of reels too. It does same thing it does to VW Buggy engines and ATVs...makes them get ruined real quickly.
