Welcome aboard KB. I’m sure some of the folks will be along.
Welcome Kirk,
I try to get out at least a few times a year for walleyes on this side of the pond.
Enjoy your time on the Stage! Share some pics, tips and tricks when you can.
Welcome aboard Kirk. I'm Wally guy also, mainly on Erie and some inland lakes in PA. Would like to make a trip to Lake Michigan sometime.
yes i am i would be careful of what water you fish ,and eating fish. there is some poison water in Michigan. i would check with dnr before eating any. i would sooner fish the Mississippi river, there are bull sharks i know that. good luck catch a ton
Welcome to the site! I am from lower northeastern Michigan. I fish for walleyes a fair amount with my son in law. We just came back from Little Bay De Noc. We spent the weekend and caught a few perch, a small pike and a 28 inch walleye. Lost a couple as well. This was in spite of bad weather. Good luck with your fishing this year!
By the way, I also fish the AuSable River mouth in late April into May for walleyes. It doesn't compare to the Detroit River but there are a fair number of eyes there in spring for their annual spawning run.
Welcome Kirk. Many different people. Many different fish. Never caught a walleye.
Welcome there in wyandotte and Monroe not great but there i went yesterday started in wyandotte for 3 hours only 3 went down to Monroe for 3 hours got 4 more so not to good yet another week and should pick up its all clear for boats didn't see any ice out there
No, but I did fish the bayou off the Grand River when I visited a friend in Grand Haven a few times. I’m up for fishing for walleyes in your area as I’m from Downers Grove, IL. which is a two hour drive at most. My buddy Jim is probably going to be going pretty soon. We’re going to be moving soon so my immediate plans for fishing have been placed on hold. I’ll let ya know when I get freed up. Ya know what a joy moving is haha. Hank
Welcome Kirk I To and from West Michigan there is some decent walleye fishing in the Muskegon Lake most of the guys do well fishing night sadly your best walleye fishing is the east side of the state in Lake Erie in the Detroit River but I do know they have walleye tournaments on Muskegon and white lake which is just north of grand Haven
