No shame in that Ben, I remember when my wife and I buried our first dog. It was pouring down with rain and I dug his grave faster than I ever dug a hole before. I believe I was more saturated with tears.

Oh my god , Ben i am so sorry, i have tears along with you, dogs are special in our lives and give us so much trust and love, it will take time but i hope you heal ok and crying is only natural when you loose a special friend like that you and your wife take care of yourselves and try to talk about all the great times you had with your dog, again i am so sorry and wish you guys all the best

So sorry to read that Ben. Tuff days ahead but the worse that could happen is behind you now. Keep the memories going and your buddy will live forever in your mind. My max went to visit the Lord nearly 12 years ago, but yet he lays at my feet as i type.
