When you say identified, what do you mean?
Cause it's a Shakespeare Tidewater TW800 long cast reel.
The Rod might have some information written on it too.

Ive seen this before.... It's been a while but you can tell from the bail, and position, size and shape of the lettering that it's probably a Shakespeare tw800... The tw stands for tidewater. Seems to be the long cast series.

Shakespeare Tidewater Long Cast, model TW800. ;-)

Shakespeare and similar low to mid price range tackle companies make a LOT of models. You'll see store specific lines, lines that come out for a year and vanish, etc. This one doesn't have a lot of hits on the resale market so it's quite likely a smaller release. They still use the Tidewater brand for some entry level rods, so I'd imagine this is a Walmart or similar combo that was sold in a tourist town near the beach. It's probably heavy as hell, but will make a decent backup pier or surf rod depending on the pole.

I think it's a Shakespeare Tidewater TW800 long cast . . . LOL... It does look like a nice set up though.
I hope someone can give you some info on it. In the meantime just enjoy trying it.

Don’t ya just value all the Captain Obvious responses? That’s pretty much what you can expect when there is no definitive answer, with the exception perhaps, of FS Digest’s literate explanation. Except to get your leg pulled now and then. Happy fishing 🎣
