Hi all, I’m getting sick of fishing from shore and I really want to explore the Long Beach and LA harbor a bit more from a kayak. I’m looking at the lifetime Teton angler and I’m wondering what y’all think. I’d be using it to cruise around the harbor, fish the inside of the break wall and maybe fish the outside of the wall on calm days. I can’t afford to spend a fortune, nor do I want to on my first kayak. Is this the one or are there other/better affordable options you’d recommend? Would it even be worth getting a cheap used smaller ocean kayak and outfitting it myself? I’m looking for something under $600 and something in the 10’ range that’s light enough to load/launch myself. Any advice would be much appreciated!

Hi all, I’m getting sick of fishing from shore and... (

That 11’ kayak looks great as a starter. I wouldn’t stand up in it, but you could get some good use out of it.
Good kayak for intro. Stable and one piece. Sell a lot of them
For the price it has a great seat. 600 will get you kayak paddle whistle life jacket. Good luck
