Although I have posted this query once or twice, I'm hoping that the 'third time's the charm' and I get a response !

Some members have mentioned
having had side effects from the
COVID shot; my question is this -
what type of side effects did you
endure, and was it from the
Pfizer or the Moderna
vaccine ? Just trying to gather
as much info as possible before trying to get an appointment
for it ! Thanks !

Buddy on here and wife had it. Both were really tired for at least a day. Sore arm. Pfizer. Not anything worth avoiding it.

Hey BigA. Sue and I had our first shot, Pfizer, and neither one of us had any side effects from it.
We go back on the 16th to get our second shot.
I would say to get it as soon as they'll give it to you.

Had the first shot with just a bit of a sore arm. Pfizer. As a precaution I'll get my second dose in the opposite arm.

My mom (89) and her neighbor (92) both got the Pfizer shots. No issues other than a little soreness in the arm the next morning.

I had the Pfizer on Thursday. I had very slight discomfort at the injection site when I pushed hard. My wife and I both experienced fatigue the next day, but nothing unbearable. Round two is 21 days after.
I’ve had worse reaction from the regular flue shot, and not nearly as bad as the shingles vaccine. That one kicked both of our arses for a couple of days.

Thanks, everyone ! Well, then,
from the input I'm getting, it seems no worse than getting
all those shots in the military
(all those MANY,
MANY years ago) !

Wife and I got 2nd shot of Moderna. Sore arm for a day or so. It affects some more than others, i.e. flu like symptoms.

Going to be long response.
18 year old daughter got Phizer no side effects shot 1. Shot 2 was miserable from headache for 36 hours. Possible cause was only 2 weeks in between the shots and working 16 hour shifts could have contributed.

Daughter 2 20 years old had moderna shot had extream fatigue for a couple days. But her shot was 2 months after testing positive for COVID.

Wife had moderna vaccine also. Had slight to moderate nausea for about 24 hours.

Hope this helps.

The Wife and I had round 1 of Moderna yesterday.
Ellen had a reaction after about 10 minutes including chills, dizziness and what she described as heavy tongue. She was given 2 treatments of Benedryl which seemed to help.
Today, we both woke up with what seemed like hangovers. Headaches, tired and sore. She was cautioned against going for the 2nd shot due to her reaction to the 1st. Just wanted to make you aware. I will go for the 2nd round in 3 weeks. What we felt today was similar to the effects around the time we tested positive around Labor Day.

Got my first today about 12:00. So far nothing. Getting the appointment was a pain.

Mother in law(94), wife, and I all got the first shot (Pfizer). MIL and wife had minor soreness at the injection site. I had no side effects. Daughter and daughter-in-law are both teachers and received the Moderna vaccine. No side effects on the first shot, but both developed a fever (101.5) and felt lethargic starting about 12 hours following the second shot. They were fully recovered two days after the second shot.
