An Unusual Opportunity

Gentlemen, Grandfathers, Fathers, and the like:

The U.S. Air Force is looking for applicants for the Space Corps. If you have a son, daughter, grandson or grand daughter, or a relative, this is a golden opportunity.

They need to be sharp, have a clean record but in my opinion they have a better chance on this first class than any time later. Those chosen who graduate, in my opinion will be promoted faster because the service will not want to lose any of these grads.

Down the road 10 to 20 years, we will be in fierce competition with the Chinese for space exploration and travel. Those who will become the U.S. Space Corps graduates will be the cutting edge of this effort on the part of the U.S. It will be an exciting and challenging time. Just Sayin...RJS

Hey thanks for the info on that Robert, maybe my grandsons will get into that. It’s good to have a goal as a young man and that seems like a good one . A win, win , for our kids and the future of our country. well done , and thank you for your service from a fellow veteran.

CRKfish: Yes, it is an absolute winner, and even if someone has just graduated from college, I don't know what the cut off age is.

I was a freshman in college when they were announcing the U.S. Air Force Academy was seeking its first class in the next year 1958. If I had the money to have gone for a year of prep schooling, I would have done so. Just Sayin...RJS

I’m sure they will have ‘Enlisted’ personnel too. For those that can’t afford college right after High school, enlistment is always an option.

Aha Toro: Yes, we had some nay sayers at North Texas when I was an ROTC senior. They would harrass our freshmen and sophomores.

Then, all of a sudden England bombed some ships in the Suez Canal and everyone suddenly thought we might be going to war. The Jounalism department shared an office building with the Air Force ROTC, and there was a line of folks, I'm sure some were the hecklers, lined up trying to join the ROTC midterm.

I am afraid if i had caught anyone hazing our freshmen or sophomores, there might have been a little "kick ass" time. Just Sayin...RJS

After Googling the Space Corps to find out where and what of the offer, Itr may just be a scam! It looks like they were trying to recruit for the enlisted ranks of the U.S. Air Force.

I suspect the only way for a college bound individual who wished to get in the space corps is to apply for the U.S. Air Force Academy. Upon graduation apply for the Space Corps. Without being an officer in the Air Force, you can forget taking a space fliight! Just Sayin...RJS
