Matt Victorelli caught this nice red
Nice
Thanks for the picture.
Very nice, heard they fight like h### and taste just as well. A bucket list fish for me.
Too bad its oversslot. Its injury is life threatening and won't survive if thrown back. Just hit it on the head and end its misery. Shameful the way the law is written and great fish like this can't be harvested when damaged.
Congrats to Mike! That’s a nice catch..
You are correct the injury will end this fishes life and it is too bad it can't be kept. Reds are great eating when they are in the slot. Our slot is 15" to 23" we mostly send them back but once in a while they become dinner and a fine dinner at that. Reds have a tremendous growth rate I think about the best. We are lucky to have so many of them here.

Give it up bobber! Nobody wants to hear your negative crap!
I gave good advice and an opinion which I am allowed to have. Negativity must pervade your being if you thought my blurb was negative
bobber22,I understand what you are saying, but fishing is what it is. There are larger issues that harm fish and other wildlife. You commented on the way I held a red fish that I also released. Maybe they should outlaw fishing totally. Would that make you happy?
that is a mature bull redfish that came in to spawn. Its clear you care naught for the fish the way your hand is probably up its gill plate and internal organs are all gathered near his anus. You can learn a lot more about proper fish handling and lots of other things that will make you happy by joining saltstrong.com they have thousands of members and give you a lot of good info. They are based in Tampa. If you are looking for a fight I believe they might need your help in the Army. Don't look for one in the forum. Most guys here try to be helpful, you aree the first one that has had so much negativity. As they teach in psychology, called the mirror image, what you see in others is what you see in yourself. Bother not continuing to begin an argument as I will not be bothered by your further negativity. Tight lines.
Lighten up bobber. Try golf
In Florida you cannot keep a Redfish over 27” we had to let him go. He survived the battle, to do it again someday.
