I’m looking to get a fishing rod for mainly trout river fishing and lake fishing. What rod would anyone recommend for both? And where to find the rod

Jack: You have still left us in the dark. Are you asking about a fly rod, bait casting rod, or a spinning rod? It is hard to decipher your needs from what you'd disclosed so far. Just Sayin...RJS

If you're fishing mainly for trout. I'd try a med lite to med action. Rod length personally I'd use 7' or close to it. Longer rid easier to cast lite lures or baits. If lake trout are on big side I'd use medium rod fast or xtra fast tip.
