Best PFD for kayaks, and rearming

Hello,
My Nighcat probably saved my life when a rod and reel became a "submarine" and I attempted to retrieve it and ended up "in the drink"! Saved by other fishermen, I have attempted to rearm this low profile PFD. Finding no help from the par not company, I find the valve and cartridges sent me do not work, which is extremely frustrating.
I like the lo profile which is so handy when dealing with landing fish and changing tackle. I would really appreciate some experienced advice on a PFD that is lo profile, breathes, and paddles comfortably and is EASY to rearms and obtain spare parts for. This has been a great site, and somebody else besides me has got to have fallen in, and knows th frustration of attempting to rearm. PFD with parts that are supposed to wok, but DO NOT,

Gene mine is somewhere not yet un packed from my move. I purchased a good one from West Marine and they had replacement cartridge's right there in the store.

Another source is BPS /Cabelas. They carry their own,as well as Mustang, and recharging kits for both.
