Im a first time boat buyer and we were looking at a 2017 Sea Fox 226 Commander for about $48k, the boat will be used for mainly deep sea fishing. Is sea fox a good brand and also is the price fair or should I keep looking around?
Thanks!

Sea Fox is a good boat from what I have seen. They seem to handle rough waters well.
As far as price, I wouldn't worry about it too much. ALL boats depreciate by at least 30% when you pull it off of the lot. Buy what you want and can afford. You will never get your money back on it.
First I would take what you are looking to buy for a test ride. Remember to bring a few friends to make sure what you want to buy has enough HP to get you up and running meaning don't buy a under power boat.As to price most Dealers mark up boats 22 -30 percent . Do your homework make your best deal not what he is asking shopping around will save you money. Also spring warranty deals are out so 3 +3 means 3 years is standard plus 3 extra free.Get yourself a Aluminum trailer with spare well worth it and also Dealer should also give you Coastguard kit 4 vest 4 ropes/ anchor with 50 line and fire extinguisher.Last if your out in Salt water stainless steel is very important on your investment or corrosion will kill your investment either way good boat soap and flush motor everything you use it no tomorrows.I forgot grease gun and install buddies bearing on trailer and keep it greased.Goodluck
Pay the money to have a marine mechanic check it out , not just the engine but the accessories and bones. Also remember - BOAT Bring Out Another Thousand.
