Purchased a spool of 12lbs inviz-x and it flies off the spool like a slinky. (I’m referring to the spool the line came on.). It was put on the spool twisted if it’s not taped down I end up with a giant pile of twisted line. I HAVE NEVER EVER HAD VANISH do this to me. Seaguar=total crap. Buyer beware.

I can’t even spool it onto a reel without having tons of problems. More importantly why should you need a third party product for something like seaguar who claims, “Always the Best?”

I put some on a spinning reel and had the same problems. Used it for one day amd had to cut it all off because of tangles.

A lot of fluoros can have memory issues when put on a spinning reel. For every spinning rod I have I run braid to a fluorocarbon leader. Straight fluoro I run on my baitcasters and I’ve yet to have seaguar disappoint. As someone else mentioned like conditioner helps a ton and I use it with all my fluoro regardless of brand. It’s possible you got one spool that was a lemon and I understand the frustration. But straight fluoro is a recipe for disaster on spinning gear and it’s hard to label a reputable brand from one isolated incident.

Is it on a spinning reel, or a casting reel? How the line goes on is extremely important, and usually when it balls up that that, it was spool improperly. That said, it could very easily be a bad batch. I've experienced it a few times. Seagaur and Sunline are top tier lines, and while invizx isn't the absolute best, it's excellent for reaction baits.

edit; whoops, misread. Thought it was coming off the reel like that. Very possible it was a defective spool then, Seagaur is definitely a good brand.

I only use Seaguar line for leader material or for making crawler harnesses and spinner rigs. It is too stiff and unruly in any weight over 12 pound test to use in that application. I've tried to use it on my baitcaster for musky fishing and it has been a complete disappointment. Might as well be using baling wire.
